Description
Category 2 – 3 CE Credits
Through no fault of their own, about 1–in–5 kids have “chalky” teeth whose enamel hasn’t hardened properly. This developmental condition, called “molar hypomineralization (MH)”, often leads to rapid tooth decay and extractions and is often confused with tooth decay caused by high-sugar diet and poor oral hygiene. Learn more about how UofT researchers and the Durham Region Oral Health Department are now studying the prevalence of MH in Durham school children.
This introductory course on MH with guidance on detection, differential diagnosis and treatment options, and resources for optimal patient management.
All attendees will receive a free copy of “Sam’s Story Book”, a wonderful resource for children, parents, and clinicians. More info on the book can be found here.
Registration deadline is November 7, 2024.
